Raises combination-rune success from 50% to 100%.
Use water runes on the Earth Altar after casting Magic Imbue.
Recommended
Unlocks the colossal pouch used by the current high-throughput route.
Teleports close to the Earth Altar.
Adds combination runes without adding XP.
Adds more runes on the high-level route.
Supplies elemental runes and consolidates Magic Imbue and pouch-repair runes.
Location and access
Earth Altar
Use the Ring of the Elements to reach the Earth Altar quickly, then bank with a Crafting cape, eternal glory, diary cape or ring of dueling.
The current Wiki route assumes about 65 essence per trip and 160 trips per hour. Lower pouch capacity and slower banking reduce the rate.

Method
A repeatable practical cycle
Load pure essence and confirm the Binding necklace has enough charges.
Use the Ring of the Elements and enter the Earth Altar.
Cast Magic Imbue, use water runes on the altar and empty every pouch.
Teleport to the chosen bank, replace the necklace on schedule and repair pouches before they degrade.
XP vs profit
What changes the tradeoff
Each successful essence gives 9.5 Runecrafting XP. The high-rate route depends on 160 trips per hour, a colossal pouch and fast Ring of the Elements travel.
Profitability
Wiki reference plus your assumptions
Expected profit depends on market prices, pace and the Wiki method assumptions.
Missing assumptions are not treated as zero.
Common mistakes
Method-specific checks
Using earth runes at the Earth Altar instead of water runes
Assuming Magic Imbue guarantees success without a Binding necklace
Missing necklace depletion

Useful upgrades
Improvements that affect this method
Removes the 50% combination-rune failure rate.
Cuts altar travel time.
Raises essence carried per trip.
