Method
A repeatable practical cycle
Install two appropriate hooks and the Salvaging Station.
Sail between Pest Control and Pirate's Cove.
Handle the player's share while crew hooks work in parallel.
Use the Salvaging Station, store gems and process Oyster pearls.
Convert rings, bracelets, scimitars and repair items to minimize unloading.
XP vs profit
What changes the tradeoff
The Wiki rate assumes the player hooks one third of the salvage and crew handle the rest at reduced XP. Higher-tier hooks and active techniques can change both XP and throughput.
Profitability
Wiki reference plus your assumptions
Expected profit depends on market prices, pace and the Wiki method assumptions.
Missing assumptions are not treated as zero.
Common mistakes
Method-specific checks
Using the Wiki rate without two working hooks
Banking every low-volume alchable
Leaving the Salvaging Station off the ship
Assuming crew hook actions grant full player XP
Useful upgrades
Improvements that affect this method
Increase salvage speed after 74 Sailing and 66 Construction.
Reduces cargo pressure.
Extends voyages by clearing alchable loot.
Improves salvage/hour without changing the drop table.
