Required to smelt runite bars without boosts.
Smelting Runite Bars at the Blast Furnace
Use the Blast Furnace coal discount, a coal bag and ice gloves to smelt runite bars through a repeatable bank and conveyor cycle.
Profit, XP and account fit
Requirements
Mandatory and recommended are kept separate
Hard requirements
Reach Keldagrim and use an official Blast Furnace world for the automated machinery.
The Blast Furnace halves the normal coal requirement.
Automated Blast Furnace worlds charge 72,000 coins per hour.
Recommended
Carries extra coal and makes the runite cycle practical.
Lets you collect hot bars without spending an inventory slot on buckets of water.
Maintains run energy through repeated bank and conveyor laps.
Players below 60 Smithing pay an additional foreman fee, but this method already requires 85.
Location and access
Blast Furnace, Keldagrim
Use a minigame teleport, minecart route or Grand Exchange trapdoor route to Keldagrim.
Join an official Blast Furnace world, add coins to the coffer and use the nearby bank chest.

Method
A repeatable practical cycle
Deposit enough coins for the planned session on an official Blast Furnace world.
Load the conveyor with the coal required for the runite cycle, using the coal bag to reduce trips.
Deposit runite ore only after enough coal is in the furnace.
Equip ice gloves or Smiths' gloves (i), take the runite bars and bank them.
Keep run energy active and follow the same coal and ore sequence to avoid stalled batches.
XP vs profit
What changes the tradeoff
Each runite bar gives 50 Smithing XP. Faster banking raises both XP and gross output, while the ore spread and coffer fee determine net profit.
Profitability
Wiki reference plus your assumptions
Expected profit depends on market prices, pace and the Wiki method assumptions.
Missing assumptions are not treated as zero.
Common mistakes
Method-specific checks
Using eight coal per bar instead of the Blast Furnace requirement of four
Adding runite ore before enough coal is stored
Forgetting coffer coins
Counting Goldsmith gauntlets as useful for runite bars
Useful upgrades
Improvements that affect this method
The largest practical improvement to the runite bank cycle.
Removes the water-bucket collection step.
Combines useful glove effects after the related Smithing unlocks.
Optional run-energy support after the core setup is complete.
