- Wilderness access
- Strong Ranged
- A checked death-loss screen
- 85+ Ranged

Requirements
Access and practical preparation
Either grants access to Hunter's End; an ordinary bear task does not bypass the diary.
The arena is singles-plus and every carried item should be included in the death-loss check.
Bring Ice Barrage, Ice Blitz or Entangle and keep at least 0 Magic accuracy for reliable refreezes.
Wilderness risk profile
Qualitative ratings, not guessed encounter rates
- Use the nearest cave exit or obstacle
- Move toward a teleport-valid Wilderness level
- Use line of sight and the current combat-zone rules
Teleport: Royal seed pod or valid one-click teleport
Core mechanics
What controls the encounter
Freeze cycle
Bind Artio and attack from range; she breaks free and clears the bind when roaring at 66% and 33% health.
Magic knockback
Switch to Protect from Magic before the white orb lands and avoid being pushed into a wall or bear trap.
Bear traps
Move into the remaining open tiles when traps appear, then refreeze Artio before it reaches melee range.

Strategy
A practical step-by-step plan
Enter with the escape tile visible
Use Hunter's End only after checking the singles-plus entrance, carried risk and Royal seed pod level.
Freeze before dealing damage
Bind Artio and attack from range. Refreeze after each roar at 66% and 33% health.
Protect the knockback
Switch to Protect from Magic before the white orb lands and keep away from walls and bear traps.
Leave on player contact
Use the singles-plus exit immediately rather than finishing a low-health boss while another player controls the entrance.
Risk-adjusted profitability
The Wiki Estimate seeds loot and supply fields from current market inputs when available. Every assumption remains editable and your saved values take priority.
The calculator will update if the selected Wiki method provides a usable average loot value. You can enter your own value at any time.

What should I upgrade next?
Method-specific progression priorities
Rune crossbow -> Webweaver bow
The powered Wilderness bow improves sustained Ranged damage while leaving the freeze spell as a separate control tool.
Black dragonhide -> blessed dragonhide
Use the inexpensive defensive and Prayer upgrade before risking Masori pieces in singles-plus Wilderness.
Amulet of glory -> necklace of anguish
Only risk the Ranged jewellery after the weapon, escape route and protected-item plan are settled.
Common mistakes
Avoidable causes of failed or inefficient trips
Ignoring binding roar
Losing position during prayer changes
Mishandling escape readiness: Keep the exit, teleport and player indicators visible.
Guide status and data source
Guide facts have been researched against reliable game and Wiki information. The Wiki Estimate uses current market inputs when available, while the calculator remains controlled by the player.
