Requirements
Access and practical preparation
Either grants access to the singles-plus tomb; an ordinary skeleton task does not bypass the diary.
The fee can be paid from the bank and must be repaid after a PvP death.
Check untradeable-item loss above level 20 and keep the cave entrance visible throughout the kill.
Calvar'ion is undead, so use a crush weapon with Salve amulet (e) or (ei).
Wilderness risk profile
Qualitative ratings, not guessed encounter rates
- Use the nearest cave exit or obstacle
- Move toward a teleport-valid Wilderness level
- Use line of sight and the current combat-zone rules
Teleport: Royal seed pod or valid one-click teleport
Core mechanics
What controls the encounter
Lightning zones
Move out of marked floor danger without losing track of the exit.

Defeat the dogs before damaging Calvar'ion again.

Leave immediately when your personal risk threshold is reached.

Strategy
A practical step-by-step plan
Fight beside the cave exit
Equip the Salve amulet, use Piety and keep Calvar'ion close enough to the exit for an immediate player-killer response.
Dodge every marked tile
Step off lightning before it lands and avoid the shield bash rather than trying to block either mechanic with an overhead prayer.
Kill both hellhounds
Switch on Protect from Melee when the hounds appear; Calvar'ion is immune until both are dead.
Stand under the transformation ring
When the first health bar ends, move under the boss to avoid the surrounding lightning and repeat the kill loop in the enraged form.
Risk-adjusted profitability
The Wiki Estimate seeds loot and supply fields from current market inputs when available. Every assumption remains editable and your saved values take priority.
The calculator will update if the selected Wiki method provides a usable average loot value. You can enter your own value at any time.

What should I upgrade next?
Method-specific progression priorities
Dragon mace -> Ursine chainmace
The Wilderness crush weapon combines with Salve amulet damage against the undead boss.
Dragon defender -> Avernic defender
Use the one-handed off-hand upgrade only when it remains protected above level 20 Wilderness.
Add a Dinh's bulwark escape switch
The defensive switch supports an exit but does not replace lightning movement or hellhound control.
Common mistakes
Avoidable causes of failed or inefficient trips
Ignoring lightning zones
Losing position during hellhound phase
Mishandling escape trigger: Leave immediately when your personal risk threshold is reached.
