Requirements
Access and practical preparation
Either grants access; ordinary skeleton tasks do not replace the diary requirement.
The fee can be paid from the bank and is lost after a PvP death, subject to the boss's kill-based reductions.
Plan an Escape Caves route because direct teleports are unavailable at this depth.
Vet'ion is undead, so prioritise a crush weapon and Salve amulet (e) or (ei).
Wilderness risk profile
Qualitative ratings, not guessed encounter rates
- Use the nearest cave exit or obstacle
- Move toward a teleport-valid Wilderness level
- Use line of sight and the current combat-zone rules
Teleport: Deep-Wilderness escape route and one-click option
Core mechanics
What controls the encounter
Lightning and floor danger

Strategy
A practical step-by-step plan
Enter with the team risk agreed
Pay the lair fee from the bank, equip the Salve amulet and confirm an Escape Caves route before entering the multi-combat room.
Use crush on Vet'ion
Protect from Melee, attack with the crush weapon and move away from every lightning strike before it lands.
Clear both hellhound waves
Kill the hellhounds when Vet'ion becomes immune, then return to the boss only after every hound is dead.
Escape before supplies decide
Use the team call and Escape Caves route as soon as player killers arrive; direct teleports are unavailable at this depth.

What should I upgrade next?
Method-specific progression priorities
Dragon mace -> Ursine chainmace
The Wilderness crush weapon and Salve amulet directly target Vet'ion's undead crush matchup.
Dragon defender -> Avernic defender
Use the one-handed off-hand upgrade only when it remains protected under the exact risk plan.
Add Dinh's bulwark as an escape switch
The defensive switch improves the Escape Caves route but does not increase boss damage.
Common mistakes
Avoidable causes of failed or inefficient trips
Ignoring lightning and floor danger
Losing position during hellhound phases
Mishandling player interruption: Leave immediately when the team risk plan says to leave.
